Dear Kelly Clarkson,

I didn't vote for you on Idol. I apologize, but I don't think you care about votes anymore. You would have been famous even if you didn't win. (Forgive me... did you really win or were you runner up?) Nevermind... anyways, I want to thank you for a few things.

Firstly, thank you for "I Do Not Hook Up." That video was really smashing. I think "nice girls" everywhere really take to it.

Second, "Since U Been Gone" was my favorite song during the summer of 2005. I learned a lot about myself that summer in Nice, France and I have to say: you were a huge part of it. Not only is that a great song for chicks to sing loudly in the shower and car, but guys LOVE singing it while drunk off Rose wine.

Thirdly, (is that a word?) your new song, "Mr. Know It All" reminds me of "Never Again" and "Behind These Hazel Eyes," (I have hazel eyes too!) which are two of my favorite all-time songs.

Something about the guy(s) who hurt you (and kicked you into write these songs) relates to a guy who hurt me, and I have to say: I'm glad these dudes relate closely to each other.

"Why?" you ask?

Simple! Because I can't publicly sing my emotions! When you sing and I sing over your voice, it's like we're the same person telling the same person the same thing. Did I lose you? I'm sorry, I had a triple shot skinny vanilla latte a few minutes ago...

Basically, I thank you because the guy problems that you dealt with are similar to the ones I've dealt with, and I'm glad I've had your songs to guide my way to solving them/making the emotions a little easier to deal with.

One day, Kelly, you and I will get married and maybe it will be to the same guy. But, in a theoretical sense. Not a sister-wife sense.
